You write about Dark Energy as if it is a known thing with known properties. I do understand that we have very well understood cosmological observations where one needs to posit some energy that behaves in a very particular way, and that is how we came with this model.

but how do most Physists view this today? do we know this stuff really exists? do we suspect it could be that our models are simply wrong thus it will "disappear" once we have correct models?

what do most think is really going on here? and what do you think? (I am not skeptical, just interested in current thought)
