You conclusion does not follow from your observations. If we do nothing we will naturally switch to clean energy as it is cheaper than fossil fuels EVENTUALLY. Indeed as the price of power continues it exponential drop CO2 reclamation will also become very cheap as it is energy dominated.

But in the mean time temperatures can climb well above 1.5C so we need a stop gap measure to keep temperatures cooler over the next decades while those prices drop.

Sure aerosols are a stop gap measure, that that is exactly what we need.

Now can wring your hands and say "but what if prices don't drop"

Sure... anything is possible.

but do you think that is more likely.

Or do you think that while you keep wringing your hand about not trusting stop gap measure, the temp will rise well above 1.5C.

I can tell you where my money is? Humanity is not going to flip a switch.

We need to wake up and take PRACTICAL STOP GAP STEPS.

.... or we can leave our head in the sand and blame someone else ....

lets get practical and SOLVE it.
