Yeah there is no question that these foods are generally healthy.

I think the question is if one want to optimize ones lifespan and ones health span, NOW is it good to eat these foods. Of course if you avoided Chicken, Fish, and Eggs you better be pretty precise about what you are replacing them with, else you will be worse off.

But its unclear to me what the evidence says about optimal life/heath span. I know that Veggies live longer (I am not one). But I also know that this might not be causal. After all one is probably pretty health conscious overall if one is making that difficult life choice.

But I have also seen studies that show inflammation response from these foods, as well as some correlation with heart disease too.

Still over all I would describe myself as confused by the evidence.
