yeah current teslas will never be level 5 full self driving, oh well.

but I see no reason Musk cannot slap lidar onto 10,000 cars driving them 1,000 miles per week as they have a human-in-the-loop taxi service. This is 3M miles of reliability data per month.

NONE of these systems are deterministic, so all of them need some level of validation as they retrain these models.

it is too conservative to toss 100% of the prior data on each retrain update, and too aggressive to assume nothing went down hill.

Granting authorities have PhDs too. The appropriate testing will be COMPLEX! but that is true for all of these cars.

So assuming he is putting lidar on things (which I have predicted for 2 years now) I think he will be in the running.
