wierd list, seems if #2 remains true, then it must cause #1 to be true. it cannot be an end point. #3 could be stable. #4 is more plausible than I think the author believes.

But the biggest threats seems to be having goverments deciding to make it illegal. This would kill its value. Indeed the closer one moves towards #1 the stronger reason governments might choose to exclude it.
