Well it has yet to be shown. but if we take the simulator to be a von Neumann machine, and we assume the programmers have limited resources.... you know.... budget cuts in the meta-universe... well then they would need to efficiently utilize their machine to simulate as much as possible, as accurately as possible. THIS should provide lots of predictions about how things will breakdown at the edges.
