this is a nice summary. your editorial could be rewritten as a stand alone piece for better effect. I kinda get the distinction between concept and conception. but it is pretty muddled and never defined... I am just getting it (maybe) by example.

current debates could be significantly advanced if we kept these separated and we acknowleged that we rarely know intention (even for ourselves too). and really intent is besides the point. what we care about is outcomes
