Human culture is 100% appropriated. from DIFFERENT societies that existed generations before.

But we in the majority culture do need to understand why minorities feel rage when we feel pride when we are "appropriated" . it fits the narative of explotation in the former case, but does not in the latter case. Still it is the same impulse in both cases, and it is self centered in both cases too. (almost no one is appropriating for the benefit of others, they are doing it somehow for themselves.)

We just need to mature as a society to understand this is a normal and symmetric thing, but also to understand the lens of explotation it will be seen thru.

But for now... for safety... I am taking your advice. No cornrows for me!
