Steve,

This makes some good points. I am not entirely a fan of the use of irony, but i get it, you are pretty frustrated so simply making assertions was not enough.

I read with interest the summary of this two state solution that was accepted by everyone except the USA and Israel. I can see why Israel would want bi-lateral negotiations on the point. I am sure Israel would have accepted its terms in 1948, but borders have really moved since then. As it reads now it would require Israel to give up lots, and Palestinians to give up nothing. Not saying that is wrong, just noting that its not good negotiating to get nothing in return.

But I also challenge your assertion that "Palestine" as accepted this agreement. Hamas sure has not, nor do the people who regularly change from "river to sea." And I have seen many (probably biased) videos where some random college student goes on the street and asks random Gazans what they think. And of course they all say "Israelis have gotta go!"

Now, maybe this does not really represent what Gazans think. But it seems like I saw some ?Pew? studies that showed Gazans were mostly did not accept Israel's right to exist.

So what is your evidence the "Palestinians" would be ready to guarantee Israel's safety in return for getting their state (without right of return)?

It seems logical that they would want that, but do they? and are they really to forcibly clamp down on any Palestinians who DON'T want that to stop them from harming Israel?

(I am not implying they don't, I just have never seen the evidence for this.)
