Right, but that ATV is going to get cold at night, when you are trying to sleep in it in retirement. The rent/buy ratio is pretty good in oil country which means over a lifetime most would have been better off buying. (I live in SF, you could make an argument for forever renting here, but even then, you better have the discipline to save like two houses worth of equity if you want parity with a home-owner in retirement.
