That would not apply in this case.

I can imagine additional qualifiers that might give one pause. Still it seems because the consequence for the accused can be so stark and harsh it seems to "crime" of fake accusations is equally heinous.

It seems the only way the crime itself would not be heinous is if the consequences for the accuse not be heinous. But I assume to DO want the perpetrator to face HARSH censure, correct?

It seems hard to allow one to be harsh w/o having the crime of intentionally putting this on another as also being treated harshly. no?
