ok, I hear you... details are fuzzy.

Still it seems the following are generally accepted:

-1- Yanukovich was the legitimate president of Ukraine as the result of a more-or-less fair election.

-2- Some form of extra-judicial pressure of one kind or another very very likely compelled Yanukovich to flee his role as president.

-3- Number 2 ultimately resulted in a new president being installed in Ukraine.

So taken together we have the basic skeleton of a coup. Sure we can quibble over details, but it seems pretty hard to argue against this basic conclusion.

Now, your augment that the subsequent election has restored democratic legitimacy, seems plausible. I am not pushing back on that.
