I have some early buildup of plaques in the arteries. (93 percentile on a Calsium CT scan), and my VO2max is a bit low at the 40-th percentile for a 58 year old.
So my focus is overall cardio vascular health. I have been doing Zone-2 and once-per-week HIIT at very high effort. I have heard this combo is good for improving VO2max which I think of as a proxy for heart health.
what is your thought about my thinking? Any changes you would have me consider?
