Loved the Putnam! The best I ever did was most credit on one, and very partial on a second question. At the time I took the exam, the authors were putting one 'easier' question in the mix. Even still more than 1/2 participants would get a score of zero.
What was so glorious about the test, was that the questions were designed to thwart standard approaches at a solution, so one needed to really think outside the box on every one of the questions. such a joy, and oh so hard!
