Loss of reserve currency status is not something the USA will take lying down. Block chain lives on precisely because it is not a strong threat to the USA's reserve status. but if it became a credible contender.... woe is the day! I could be banned, and collectively attacked. I am sure this would be something that both the USA and China could agree upon.

and I think there are contradictory forces here. true a fiat currency can be abused by the printer. but it also can be defended by the issuing economy (by guaranteeing it long term usage in debt vehicles and such). what multi-deca-trillion dollar entity has Bitcoin's back?
