In some ways Elizabeth Holmes just proves that woman can and do play in the big leagues. Just like Madoff and Enron's skilling there are bad apples in the big leagues... but I don't think anyone is now thinking. Oh, better be careful now that we know that women are more likely than men to have the balls, er... uh... the temerity, to aggressively deceive like this.

No. Thankfully there is no such stereotype for this story to play into. Indeed I think it plays against the stereotype of the meek gender unwilling / unable to take bold risks.
