Iraq did not have Nukes. The west simply cannot directly attack Russia. And fortunately cooler heads than yours are in charge... and they wont.

That said, Russia may still loose this war based on opposition from the west. It will just be financial opposition. sadly the effects of this will be slower and more indirect than military support.
