Just finished the first season of Orville. It is definitely a weird take on Star Trek. Most episodes involve embarrassing discussions of the captain and first officers failed marriage!

still per the penguin's telling, it does not shrink away from issues... and SOMETIMES it does not tell us what to think. other times I feel we know how we are supposed to view cliche character interpersonal actions.
