I agree the the term “work life balance” is a term that elite use.

but I think your phrase “we as a society should make …” is wrong thinking.

we AS INDIVIDUALS should do that. There is this idea that someone else should come in a fix a thing broken.

The beauty of life is we each are the master of ours. And I have seen many folks in very poor situations make great lives, and others not.

Nearly all of us are far far far away from starvation. Nearly all of us could work 1/2 the hours or whatever. we just choose not to.

maybe we just need better role models? better values?

the only thing I am clear on, it needs to come from us… from each person.
