I read it, and I stand by my criticism.

To be clear, I meant it is good that you are not in charge of the US / EU response. The world has avoided WW III for 60+ years by careful management of conflict between world powers. Notice France’s leader quickly backpedaled on calling this a Financial “war” against Russia, when Russia noted that financial wars can easy turn to shooting wars. He publicly said his use of the word “war” was inappropriate. That is the care needed.

If US/EU enforced a no fly zone, there would be dead Russians at the hands of our forces. You can believe there would be dead Americans in retaliation. there are many locations for Putin to push on. Are you counting on Putin to be MORE measured in his response than the west. Really? And if not, then expect he would kill MORE than we do. So what happens then. Well now western leaders are really being pushed to have a very strong response to our killed men and women.

Yeah, I stand by my statement. It is good that we have cooler heads than yours leading our response. (In the long run, I think the FIN response can work by the way, but it will be a LONG run… and I don’t know if the west will maintain the pressure long enough.)

AND a no fly zone without boot on the ground will not save Ukraine. Putin has 200K forces there… eventually he wins.
