Still this article, and ones like it, do not seek to understand or bridge, just blame and divide.

Just as Republicans do today.

Both Democrats and Republicans aim to win elections... all the rest is window dressing. What keep the country whole is a reasonable electorate. We are loosing that.

I don't propose to compromise. But telling a story where Dem politicians are the good guys against the evil bad Reps is not accurate nor helpful.
