I am a regular Andrei reader, and an American. I don't detect an anti-American bias in his writing. He digs up dirt on the ancient Romans, the Church, rich people, etc. The good news about America is we are fairly capable of acknowledging the evils in our past -- not as good as some, but better than many others.

If we did it, we should just own it.
