I agree with most of your assertions about the state of crypto, but not with your conclusion.
In the heady days of the early internet, there was a feeling that we would overturn everything in a matter of years. that did not happen, and people starting loudly saying it was a sham, and would never do what the strongest proponents claimed. But flash forward twenty years, and it has done more than most thought.
You may say twenty years is too long. But lots of successes came along the way. and all of that time the internet was THE place to be! You are right many of the biggest changes will be a decade or more, but all evidence is that: wealth storage, transaction execution, and trustless data/compute are ripe to be disrupted or created. Of course you can come back in a decade, but that will be like showing up in 2010 saying that you can build ecommerce sites for anyone who needs one…. a day late and a dollar short!
