I agree that boomers had some real wealth growing magic going on during their careers and we X-ers had a more modest country growth to boost us. Still I feel those who have entered the work force in this latest decade and a half have really had a bad time of it.
Automation and recessions have meant that they are notably behind the X-generation for their stage of life. At least we got to move out of the house before 30!
Yeah as an X-er, I didn't get the perks of a Boomer, but still I did not get SCREWED like gen Z and late Y is getting. And I think it is going to get worse.
So I count my blessings.
(Note, I am a successful tech guy... some other occupations are slipping backwards, but I think this effect is hitting all generations pretty equally, except boomers who got out before it really happened)
