Hmmm, I see. I have no idea if 50kW could do it, but seems plausible, and I see what you are saying. just one laser in orbit could do the job eventually. I think such an action would be against the one treaty the usa and russia have still in place. but I see. This would indeed be an escalation! I wonder if they have this capability? I am pretty sure it is not in space today, but that does not mean its not in storage right next to some launch pad!
