good article. good points. I only take issue with the first one.

Humans need to be able to make snap judgements. You argue that coming from an elite institution is not a good measure of intelligence and wisdom. Ok, so what is your alternative measure that people can assess about a stranger in a matter of seconds?

crickets…. yeah, it may not be great, but it is one of the best ones we have. (NOTE: I was qualified, but did not manage to land at such an institution, still I see the value in the association)
