For me the largest sin that Israel has on its soul is not actively supporting a group fostering a better government and jobs there.
I admit its hard, doubly so since any monies that flow into the region can potentially be used to buy weapons.
Still Iran funds Hamas to build schools, Israel should be outspending them doing the same.
Israel need to support, shape, and fund the partner they can work with. Right now Israel's leadership doesn't really WANT a two state solution. He wants to allows further encroachment by settlers so the baseline drops lower and lower.
This is a key sin in my opinion.
