calling it "commercial" implies that it could be remotely competitive with current costs per kilowatt hour for energy.

Even if it tech is WILDLY sucessful, going far beyond what its inventors dream, there is no way this tech is going to even be within two orders of magnitude more expensive than alternative sources of energy.

Probably four or six orders of magnitude more expensive. your claim of possible "commercial" fusion in 2024 is just a JOKE. Sure maybe they hit break-even by 2024. then we have a $100M power generator for 1 or a dozen houses (if that much!).
