Indeed China *IS* the real winner in all of this. I don't think China planned this, but it couldn't have been better for China if it did.

It could be hard to do, but it would be interesting for you to write a piece that proposes best actions for the USA considering only the interests of the USA.

(the reason, I think many of your readers are from the USA, and lots of $$$ are flowing into the war, but much is at stake too. And as you point out, the USA is not a winner here. Still I am not trying to imply the USA should weaken its resolve... it is now in this thing it needs to get to the other side)

e.g. but should it be promising swift economic re connection once hostility stop? should it be escalating towards even more advance weapons?
