AS REQUESTED, HERE ARE MY FINDINGS.

Michael, based on your writing, I bought the blanket listed below. I weigh about 185 so a 20 pound blanket is about the right weight for my body.

I purchase the glass bead type of blanket. I would recommend this. Some other types of blankets are know for making you hot. And you will be SHOCKED when you first get under this blanket. they are HEAVY!

The glass beads help to conduct the heat away from your body, thus I seem to now have an expanded range of room temperatures that are comfortable. when it is cold, they are a thick barrier helping you to retain heat. When it warms up, you warm up too, but then the beads help you radiate that heat. so this is a plus one. Based on reviews this blanket seemed to have good reviews as far as durability. I would pay attention to this. The blanket is heavy so it will be putting stress on the fabric. of course I have not had it long enough to know, but it seems good.

Overall I like sleeping w/ the blanket. Indeed I often kinda bunch it up so it really pressed down on my chest and stomach while leaving my arms and legs more free.

I don't move around much as I sleep, and that is probably good, since this blanket really kind of locks you down a little. Not completely, I *can* turn over, etc. when sleeping with it, but I dont do it too much. It is just too bulkys. (sometimes I do choose to sleep on my side, but I have the ancedotal feeling that the snugness feelign you get from the blanket is best felt when sleeping on your back.

I might be sleeping better... I think I am. But the effect is not massive, so I am not positive.

It is minorly annoying to just have such a HEAVY blanket when sleeping, just feels more awkward. Still I think the benefits outweight this cost... I'm happy I got mine! thx
