America's original sin.

I am beginning to see that slavery is America's original sin--a sin which it is completely incapable of overcoming. What could she ever do to make amends that she and her victims would see as sufficient? How could she ever be absolved or get past it? I think perhaps she cannot, the wound is fatal.

I do support greater transparency and greater independence in our policing of our police. Sometimes they do get away with murder.

Still I fear we are on a dead-end road. We cannot achieve zero racism, nor zero injustice from our police, yet we are becoming dramatically more intolerant of any deviation from zero. How does this end well?

I gave your article a bunch of claps.

Why doesn't it have more?!?

At least you do see the problem.
