Ali, please explain WHY the myth busters results show it is better to walk?!

Here is my best explanation. Walking slower causes more water to hit your head, since you are out longer.

But on the front of your body when walking slowly you push air AND water out of the way as you move slowly. In constrast when you move rapidly the air is pushed aside but the water had greater momentum and thus is left behind the air. Thus the density of water in the air ends up higher as you move faster, so running actually results in you getting wetter.

Ok. I would have predicted the opposite, but faced with the data, this is my best guess.

So will some really physical scientist please stand up and tell us?!?!?
