The key thing that matters is how readers select books. So one just needs to create book review website that people trust more than Amazon reviews, and problem is solved. Then it doesn't matter how the book ends up in your hands.

But this is HARD. Readers currently do trust amazon reviews alot. You must be better than those reviews and that algorithm.
