Agreed. Perhaps Netanyahu does not even want that, because that would put pressure on him to grant greater freedoms to the Palestinians which I think he does not want to do. Not because he is a sadist, but because he (correctly) believes that >1% want to wipe them from the map.

We can have zero violence for 100 years, and it would be silly to allow freedom if it would be used for destruction, right. And presently it would be used for destruction, right?

So this is the conundrum: There can be no progress with a group where part of that group wants destruction unless their larger society can contain them better than Israel can. Right not they cannot.

This is clear right?

So the sub goal we must achieve is a population (or sub-population) that is known to Israel to be less of a threat with some freedom, than the threat the pose presently.

That is the goal. without that goal, there is no progress.
